Nifty & Bank Nifty Pivot Points — Tuesday, 23 June 2026

Yesterday was an ugly session. Nifty gave up 350 points top to bottom and closed near the lows. Bank Nifty was worse — 892 point range and a close right at the floor. That kind of close usually means we open with overhang, so the levels just below today matter more than the ones above.

Nifty 23,694 (S1) — the line that decides the day

Close was 23,824 and S1 sits at 23,694. That's barely 130 points away and given yesterday's momentum, this is the first level I'm watching. If we open weak and lose 23,694 in the first hour, S2 at 23,564 opens up quickly. If bulls defend it on a retest, you get a base to play a pullback toward the pivot at 23,914. Not the cleanest setup either way — I'd personally keep size small until one side is clearly done.

Bank Nifty 56,851 (S1) — the one to respect

Banks closed at 57,183, sitting right above S1 at 56,851. A clean break here and 56,518 comes into play fast because there's no real intraday support in between. Worth noting Bank Nifty already travelled almost 900 points yesterday, so a follow-through day can get violent. I'd rather wait for the level to react than front-run it.

Nifty 24,044 (R1) — only if we gap up

Mentioning this only because gap-ups against a weak close sometimes fade hard. 24,044 is the first ceiling and if price stalls there, shorts will get aggressive. Not chasing anything above this without confirmation.
